Since the launch of my site, I have received a lot of great feedback. The comment that I want to share with you is from my friend that inspired my first post The Basics. Enjoy.
Faith and Action … best answer I have ever heard. I agree wholeheartedly. Without Faith, why do anything? If there is no action, why have Faith?
If I don’t have enough Faith to Act on my Faith, then what is the purpose of my Faith? Make me feel good? haha
Faith is the most expensive luxury in this world, because the cost of Faith is an entire life, which is an entire existence, because if I or You didn’t exist, existence would end, or at least our perspective of it would. Continue reading

How am I going to live today in order to create the tomorrow I’m committed to?
- Anthony Robbins
Waking up this morning I felt sluggish and unmotivated to get out of bed and go to work. Do you ever have that feeling? The feeling of weekends, holidays and vacations just aren’t long enough? As I grow older I find myself feeling this way more and more. I’m not going to pretend that I am always excited to go to work each morning. Though I try to stay positive and maintain an attitude of gratitude, there are moments when I just can’t “fake the funk.”
Nobody ever said success was easy, at least from my studies. Continue reading

“The size of your success is measured by the strength of your desire; the size of your dream; and how you handle disappointment along the way.”
- Robert Kiyosaki
When I was on the high school wrestling team, we had what was called “oxygen debt Tuesdays.” We always dreaded Tuesdays because after a hard practice, we were all tasked with pushing ourselves past exhaustion in a high intensity cardio workout. The lactic acid, heavy breathing and dripping sweat is forever imprinted in my mind. Clothes soaking with sweat, I can vividly recall the pain and thinking I could not go on. “How bad do you want it?” my coach shouts. As I ask myself that question, the pain seems more bearable and I am able to push myself beyond what I thought I could. Continue reading

Time is what we want most, but… what we use worst. ~Willaim Penn
In my journey towards success, one of the biggest challenges I’ve encountered is the management of time. When we were young, it was so easy to be careless with our time: partying, sleeping and just hanging out with friends was a pastime. As I’ve grown older, I’ve found that the use of time is absolutely critical for the pursuit of happiness. Whether married, a parent or striving for success, time seems like a universal limiting factor.
In my journey towards success, one of my biggest excuses I’ve struggled with was Continue reading

Whoever can be trusted with very little can also be trusted with much, and whoever is dishonest with very little will also be dishonest with much. So if you have not been trustworthy in handling worldly wealth, who will trust you with true riches?
Luke 16:10-11
I consider myself a good and honest person. I go to church, pray every day and try to help others in need. In my May 5th post titled, Inte(rnet)grity, I shared the challenge of web browsing during work. I have found that one of the reasons why I allow myself to get distracted at work is because… Continue reading

“Pride only breeds quarrels, but wisdom is found in those who take advice.”-Proverbs 13:10 NIV
For the past 4 days I have missed blogging and working on my business. There were a number of factors that arose that limited my energy, motivation and time. Though I could have taken an hour here and there to work, I embraced it and reflected on my progress and personal life. Since the start of 2009, I have set in my mind that I MUST generate additional streams of income so my wife and I can purchase a home and start a family. From that point I have had a huge sense of urgency and, in the past 3 months, I spent a lot of focused time on building a business. As things started to come together, I got really excited, which increased motivation to spend more time working. Before I knew it, my work had consumed me. Though I set goals for areas of my life that are most important, faith, marriage, family, health and success; most of my time was spent on developing a business. It was a difficult lesson to accept as my wife revealed this in “spirited debate.” Continue reading

Check out this insightful video of self help author Brian Tracy on personal development and attracting success.
“All successful people men and women are big dreamers. They imagine what their future could be, ideal in every respect, and then they work every day toward their distant vision, that goal or purpose.” -Brian Tracy

A ceramics teacher announced on opening day that he was dividing the class into two groups. All those on the left side of the studio, he said, would be graded solely on the quantity of work they produced, all those on the right solely on its quality. His procedure was simple: on the final day of class he would bring in his bathroom scale and weigh the work of the “quantity” group: fifty pounds of pots rated an “A,” forty pounds a “B,” and so on. Those being graded on “quality,” however, needed to produce
only one pot-albeit a perfect one-to get an “A.” Well, come grading time Continue reading

“Character is doing the right thing when nobody’s looking.” -J.C. Watts
The internet is one of the most useful tools ever invented. Putting information at one’s fingertips, keeping people connected and as a platform for business, the internet has to be the most innovative idea ever conceived. While the internet has enabled the world to stay connected with one another, it has also become one of the biggest distractions in our lives. Continue reading

“If you do the things you need to do when you need to them, the day will come when you will be able to do the things you want to do when you want to do them!” -Zig Ziglar
As I was driving home from work today, I was realizing how tired I was. After an action packed weekend and waking up at 5:00am for the gym this morning, I felt the fatigue setting in. When I got home I plopped myself on my soft cool bed and I could feel myself falling a sleep. Before I got to the point of no return, some of my goals for the month came to mind: work on my business 6 days a week and post a blog entry every day. Continue reading
